How It Works

Our Process: What to Expect When You Work With Us.

No surprises, no hidden steps. Here's exactly how a matter moves from your first call to a visa outcome - and what we're doing at each stage.

From First Call to Grant

Five steps. Nothing hidden.

Most migration matters follow the same sequence. The details vary by visa type - but the overall process doesn't.

1

Initial consultation

We talk through your situation, what you want to achieve, and which visa options actually apply to you. We confirm whether the path is viable - honestly. If it isn't, we tell you now rather than after you've paid. Consultations are available in person (Perth), by phone, or by video.

2

Strategy and fee agreement

If we can help, we set out exactly what the application involves, what documents are needed, and what our fee is - in writing, before anything is lodged. You won't find hidden costs appearing later. You can take time to consider before committing.

3

Document gathering and preparation

We issue a tailored checklist and work with you to gather everything the application needs. We review every document for compliance issues before lodging - this is where a lot of applications fail when people go it alone, and where we catch problems before they become refusals.

4

Lodgement and case management

We lodge the application and manage all correspondence with the Department from that point. If they request more information or documents, we handle it. You don't have to navigate that process yourself. We update you when there's something meaningful to report.

5

Outcome and next steps

When the decision comes, we explain what it means for you - including any conditions, your obligations, and what happens next. If the outcome is positive, we make sure you understand your new visa clearly. If it isn't, we assess your review options immediately.

Common Questions

Process questions answered.

It depends entirely on the visa type. Some employer-sponsored visas can move quickly; some family and skilled visas take much longer. We'll give you a realistic current timeline at your consultation - not a generic figure that might be years out of date. Processing times shift constantly and we track them.
Yes. Brian handles your matter personally throughout. You'll have direct contact details and can reach out when you need an update or have a question. We aim to respond within one business day.
We handle that. One of the biggest risks for self-represented applicants is responding to Department requests incorrectly or incompletely. When a request comes in, we assess it, prepare the response, and manage the whole exchange on your behalf.
Yes - a significant share of our clients are interstate or overseas. Everything can be done securely online: consultations by video, documents sent digitally, and we lodge and manage applications from anywhere.
